At Swing&Spin we run a full weekly timetable of fitness classes suitable for all levels of fitness. We also run a variety of online classes through our CoachedbyClara online program for those do not live close to our fitness center and/or those who prefer to work out from home. Check out our Gym Class Timetable section to see the variety of gym classes we offer and an explanation of what each class involves. All classes and open gym times MUST be pre-booked -see class timetable section on how to do this. Once you book one class your details will be saved for next time.

At Swing&Spin we have implemented all HSE guidelines for health and safety of our clients inside our facility as follows: 

  • Separate Entry Only and Exit Only doors 🚪

  • Touch free sensor operated hand sanitizer stations around the gym

  • Touch free soap dispenser and paper towel dispenser in 🚾

  • Touch free pedal bins sanitized & emptied daily 

  • Generously spaced out workout stations for all members comfort & safety (more than the recommended distance)

  • Extra ventilation measures- which luckily is not hard given our excellent location next to the sea 🌊.

NUTRITION ONLY PROGRAM

Our fully online nutrition program became a big hit with clients during 2020 helping them achieve massive success from home with Clara's expert advice & guidance. The nutrition only program can be joined at any time from anywhere in the world, no matter whether your goal is fat loss, weight maintenance or lean muscle gain. Clara's approach to nutrition is realistic, flexible and easy to adhere to. You do not need to live out of a lunchbox or purchase expensive supplements to get results. How the program works: 

1. Upon signing up by clicking the link below you will receive a Client Questionnaire to fill out and return to help us put together a plan that best suits your goals.

2. We will email your program back to you which will include your weekly calorie & macro targets, daily step goal, exercise recommendations depending on your goals. You will also receive helpful videos showing you how to track your food and how to check in weekly.

3. You will have a weekly check in with your coach and receive detailed feedback each week on your progress. If any adjustments are needed along the way they will be made at these check ins. 

4. You will have access to our private Members Only Facebook Group where Clara regularly uploads educational content on various aspects of nutrition and mindset for success and also meal/snack ideas with calorie & macro breakdown. This content will set you up with all of the tools you need for long term success.

Once you have reached your goal you will receive guidance and monitoring on maintaining your results to ensure you know how to keep you hard earned results long term.

For our online only clients we do recommend (at least to begin with) opting for the added support of a monthly coaching call via Whats App or Zoom with Clara. INSTRUCTORS

Clara O'Connor

HEAD COACH

Clara is the Owner and Head Coach at Swing & Spin. Clara is a fully qualified NCEF Fitness Instructor, Diploma in Sports & Exercise Nutrition, IUKL Kettlebell Coach, and Mad Dogg Athletics Spinning Instructor. Clara has 15 years experience working in fitness industry in both Cork and Wexford. She is an AIKLF ranked Master of Sport in Kettlebell Lifting, multiple Irish National Champion, Irish Record Holder (in Long Cycle 2x 16kg) Professional European Champion (Long Cycle 24kg) and two times Amateur World Champion (Snatch & Long Cycle 16kg). Clara formed Rosslare Kettlebell Sport Club in 2016 and now also trains both juniors and adults to become champions in the sport of Kettlebell Lifting. 

Joe Ferris

Joe joined the Swing&Spin team in 2019 and currently runs a number of our spinning sessions per week. Joe is passionate about all things health & fitness. He is an ITEC qualified Sports Nutritionist and Spin Instructor.  He is also a national and international kettlebell sport athlete. 

Roberta Butler & Jamie Dreelan recently joined the Swing&Spin Team. They will be covering our open gym times and also offering Personal Training sessions. Roberta holds an undergraduate degree in Exercise & Health Studies from Waterford Institute of Technology and has gained international experience working a top Californian Fitness Facility. 

Jamie is a professional golfer and coach and a Setanta College Strength & Conditioning Coach.
